Andreani and Ohlins have partnered to bring a MTB fork piston
kit to market covering Fox, Rockshox and Cannondale Lefty suspension forks.
The kit is made up of an alloy boost flow piston and includes
rebound and compression shims for Hard and Soft settings.
The hard shim stack setting is tuned for small bump sensitivity
and mid range stability especially in corners and jump transitions
and is also suited to bigger riders wanting more platform performance from their forks.
The soft shim stack setting is aimed at riders who are looking for a
more plush setup, allowing the fork to reach deeper into the travel
while still holding up at the end of the stroke.
The main benefit of the High flow piston is increased sensitivity in
the first inch of travel allowing the fork to be very sensitive to small
bumps like roots and rocks. This results in less vibrations on the bars
and more traction on the front wheel. The other advantage is that the
fork will get more progressive towards the end of its travel, supporting
the rider with a firmer platform.
